Postgraduate Students

Postgraduate Student Accommodation

At Dublin City University

We look forward to welcoming you to campus in September 2021. The on campus experience for students is the most rewarding when you have everything you need in one location. DCU teaches primarily across its three main campus locations at Glasnevin, St Patricks and All Hallows.

Incoming 2021/2022 Postgraduate students can apply to stay on the Glasnevin and All Hallows campuses. Students can choose two rental periods and locations:

  • 9 Month Masters (13th September 2021 – 1st May 2022) – College Park Apartments or Purcell House
  • 50 Week Masters/PhD 28th August 2021 to 13th August 2022 – Postgraduate Apartments

Your Room

Rooms have currently been filled for 2021 / 2022 but the application process remains open. We encourage all students who are interested in on-campus accommodation to make an application so you can be included in future rounds of allocations. Postgraduate students have two options to stay on campus. They can stay for the academic year (230 nights) in College Park Superior or Purcell House in All Hallows, or 50 weeks in the Postgraduate Block.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you were not successful in the first round of offers for accommodation – don't despair! We will continue to perform lotteries after the initial offers are accepted and vacancies arise. This will happen on an ongoing basis after the initial offers are made. Please make sure you have set up your profile, created an application and paid the €50 application fee.
If you stay on the waiting list until the end of the process and we are unable to allocate you, the €50 will be refunded once the semester begins. This €50 should be requested by email to [email protected] and you should also upload your bank details to the portal. In all other cases the €50 is a non-refundable administration fee.
In the case that you are not awarded your chosen course of study at DCU and can provide proof of this to us, you are entitled to a full refund of your deposit. Your room cancellation should be made in writing to [email protected] prior to the move in date of September 13th 2021 in order for this deposit to be refundable
A number of rooms are specially designed for wheelchair users and students with disabilities do get preference in the allocation of other rooms. However, you must specify this when applying online and we will require your Consultant/Specialist to complete an "Evidence of Disability Form".
All rooms are randomly allocated - if you would like to share with a particular person, please contact [email protected] and we will allocate you where possible

Once you have accepted an offer, you are required to give 28 days notice and held liable for the rent for these 28 days. Alongside this, a €100 cancellation charge will be deducted from your deposit.
