Frequently Asked Questions

If you were not successful in the first round of offers for accommodation – don't despair! We will continue to perform lotteries after the initial offers are accepted and vacancies arise. This will happen on an ongoing basis after the initial offers are made. Please make sure you have set up your profile, created an application and paid the €50 application fee.
If you stay on the waiting list until the end of the process and we are unable to allocate you, the €50 will be refunded once the semester begins. This €50 should be requested by email to [email protected] and you should also upload your bank details to the portal. In all other cases the €50 is a non-refundable administration fee.

In the case that you are not awarded your chosen course of study at DCU and can provide proof of this to us, you are entitled to a full refund of your deposit.
Your room cancellation should be made in writing to [email protected] prior to the move in date of September 14th 2022 in order for this deposit to be refundable.

A number of rooms are specially designed for wheelchair users and students with disabilities do get preference in the allocation of other rooms. However, you must specify this when applying online and we will require your Consultant/Specialist to complete an "Evidence of Disability Form".

All rooms are randomly allocated - if you would like to share an apartment with a particular person, please contact [email protected] and we will allocate you where possible.

Once you have accepted an offer, you are required to give 28 days notice and are held liable for rent for these 28 days. In addition, a €100 cancellation charge will be deducted from your deposit.
